Surrey, BC — As students continue to debate the pros and cons of the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS), the Kwantlen Student Association (KSA) is organizing a debate between the CFS and the KSA, so that Kwantlen students will be able to hear arguments in support of, and in opposition to, continued membership in the national organization.
In September 2007, a petition containing the signatures of 23% of the members of the KSA was submitted to the CFS, calling for a referendum on withdrawal from the CFS. This referendum will occur on April 8 – 10, 2008. Students will be able to vote at the Surrey, Richmond, Langley, and Cloverdale campuses.
